Sustainability

Community Giving

Helping to support the communities where we operate is so important when it comes to the success of Blue Diamond® as a whole. We have a duty to support the growth and development of our communities now and for generations to come.

Volunteering at The Greenhouse, a local community garden.

We’re proud to provide grants to organizations in our local communities to support agricultural education and health and well-being. Some of the ways our grants have enhanced our communities include teaching kids about the benefits of living a healthy lifestyle through fitness and good nutrition; providing meals to underserved and disadvantaged communities; and responding to disaster relief with product donations.

Our employees also love to volunteer in our communities. Some of our continuous programs include providing support to local food banks, community gardens, and schools.

Our facilities support our communities as well. In Sacramento we partner with Downtown Streets Team, a non-profit work experience program that empowers individuals and acts as a stepping stone into employment and housing, to help with homelessness outreach.

We also partner with SacCorps (Sacramento Regional Conservation Corps (SRCC)) who work to enrich the lives of young adults by providing a development program integrating education, job skills training and work experience on conservation projects and other services that benefit our communities and Corps members. And lastly, we partner with United Cerebral Palsy (UCP) who helps to provide programs and services that improve the independence, productivity, and quality of life for people with developmental disabilities and their families.
